Mt. Takao has a number of mountain trails, including 6 different trails of where one can quietly observe nature.
The most popular of these is Trail 1. Trail 1 has many attractions including Yakuo-in Temple and gourmet restaurants. Trail 1 can be climbed casually by using the cable car or chair lift. There are also a lot of restrooms on the way up and you can enjoy it as if you were walking around an urban area.
Other trails differ in their distance, difficulty, and vegetation, and some of them are difficult to traverse without hiking gear. Additionally, there are almost no restrooms outside of Trail 1.

Mt. Takao belongs to the “Meiji Forest National Park.” It has 6 courses of dedicated to nature research with commentary boards for plants and creatures.
